Tips for "Glowing" Skin
The number one thing NOT TO DO: DO NOT PICK AT YOUR FACE. NEVER, EVER, NEVER.
First, make sure that you are using products that are specifically formulated for your skin type/need. I know people don't "buy" into this, but there really is a difference, in both the formulation and results.
Second, don't be "sucked in" to purchasing a "set" of products. I, personally, use different products, from the same company, based on my menstrual cycle, and season. Hormonal changes and time of year really do have an effect on your skin.
Third, drinking plenty of fluids to help keep the skin moisturized from the inside out.
Fourth, make sure to get enough sleep. The first place a lack of sleep can be seen , is on your face. It can darken circles under the eye and also make you appear pale.
Fifth, try to limit stress. I know that this is easier said than done, but stress also plays a HUGE role in the condition of your skin, so meditate, take yoga, lift weights, etc. to help ease your stress.
Sixth, buy cosmetics that are formulated to be beneficial to skin; ie, moisturize, protect from the sun, contain anti oxidants, won't clog pores, etc.
Last but not least, a good daily supplement will not only improve your skin, but your entire body and sense of wellness.

Correct Application of Eye Cream
I've noticed from talking with women, through both day to day
activities and my presentations, that most women do not correctly apply
eye cream.
In order to achieve maximum results from your eye cream, application
should be made in the following manner.
1) A SMALL amount should be applied below the lower lid,
on the lower eye socket bone and gently massaged to
with the fingertip to the outermost corner of the eye.
2) Another small amount should be applied directly under the
eyebrow on the upper eye socket bone and massaged with
the fingertip from the outermost corner of the eye to
the innermost corner of the eye.
Applying your eye cream in this manner will improve the appearance of
the ENTIRE eye area as well as aid in "shadowing" and/or dark circles
below the lower lid from the inner most corner of the eye.

Applying foundation
After my last post,I've had a few people inquire as to the proper way to apply foundation.
Although I admit that I do not wear foundation, since I am a skin care consultant, I do read as much information as I can in reference to skin, body & cosmetics products and applications.
This little tidbit of information I actually read in the latest edition of "Glamour" and used during my last demonstration.
(This is not verbatim, but it is the basis of the article.)
To correctly apply foundation, so as it is undetectable, first, choose a color that is as close to your natural skin tone as possilbe or one shade lighter.
Blot foundation in between eyebrows, under bottom lip, and on either side of the nose. After blotting in these "target areas", blend with fingertips, cotton ball or sponge. This tehnique for application "targets" the most troublesome spots and blending from these points out almost guarantees a flawless, undetectable blend.
For those of you that try this, please let us know if you found this technique as helpful as I did.

The irobot
Now I'm not sure how much this piece of equipment costs, I'll do some research and post it, but I must tell you.....THIS THING ROCKS. I actually vacuumed by bedroom while lying on my bed. Swear it ladies. Laid on the friggin bed while this thing vacuumed my room.
There shall be NO MORE LUGGING OF THE VAUCUUM UP THE STAIRS FOR ME!!!
Not only do I LOVE the fact that I don't have to carry my vacuum up the stairs anymore, but it really does do a good job. Takes longer than using a convential vacuum, but WHO CARES????? I'm not pushing the thing around. Let it take it's time.
The irobot has not only does an awesome job, but it also is equipped with software that "tells" it when it is banging into something, when to back up, where the "dirt" is, and when it is liable to fall so it should move away.
Husband looking for a gift idea???? IROBOT. Even if the price is high, hasn't he bought enough crappy gifts that he owes you a really good one?
I would love to hear from anyone else who has one of these to see if you concer.
Oh, by the way, my husband DIDN'T buy mine for me.....my MOMMY did.
I know, I'm pathetic, but I think she was hoping it would settle my OCD a tad.

Review: About Face Luminous Color Wand SPF 8
This Saturday, I had a client ask me about the "About Face Color Collection", being that I don't wear ANY make-up, I honestly replied that all the information I have on the line is second hand. I've either obtained it through product knowledge literature or other's experiences.
Anyway, I did have samples with me so I offered them to the client to try.
I must tell you, personally, I am anti-foundation, concealer, translucent powder, etc. but this stuff was like applying moisturizer. It left a beautiful finish that was part dewy, part matte. I have to admit I was absolutely blown away.
I knew from the literature and other clients and consultant's testimonals that the "claim" was that the entire line was reflective due to the extreme micronization of the pigment. I have to admit, after application, you couldn't even tell that my client had any make-up at all on.
Just as with the skin line, the entire color line is also formulated with herbs and botanicals so that in addition to color, the wearer also gets the benefits of moisturization and anti-oxidants.
